When my daughters were born, I remember wondering about what it was going to be like watching them play sports, sing in choir, perform in plays.

Now that they are older and doing those things, I don’t have to wonder any more. I get to watch them compete and perform almost every week. I see them experience the highest highs and the emotional set backs.

It’s awesome.

I love how different and unique they are. I love to watch them. I love to root for their teams. I try to never to say no when they ask to throw the ball with me, no matter how busy or tired I am. Playing catch with my girls pretty much trumps everything else. Seriously.

This spring has been extra fun because both Ivy and Emilia are on the same softball team, and this year they are both in the pitching line up. I’m so proud of them.
